What to expect during your remodel project.

Fran and Justin have a long standing reputation of creating successful kitchen remodels. Rest assured, we will be with you every step of the way to keep things running as smoothly as possible.

We will work with you from the creation of your design, to implementing and managing your installation schedule. We will be visiting your home during the remodel process to answer any questions and to monitor how the job is progressing.

We will need your help in staying on schedule in regards to making product decisions and coordinating any labor that you may be providing for the project.

Access for sub contractors to your job site will be discussed prior to the project start date.

An area within your garage will need to be cleared for the delivery of cabinets as well as an area for trades people to work and make cuts. Cutting materials will create dust, so you may want to cover items.

We do our best to control dust in your home by blocking off doorways with plastic sheets (depending on the scope of the project) and make cuts when possible outside your home. Please recognize that dust will be present and that our installers will clean up the installation area at the completion of the project.

Your pets are important to us too. Please make sure they are removed from the work area. We cannot be responsible for your pets, doors may be open during your project.

 
Preparing Your Home

• Remove items from cabinetry and countertops
• Move any furniture out of the work area
• Remove any hangings from adjoining walls
• Remove breakables from nearby furniture pieces
• Protect any floors that will be traveled by workers

Project Timeline

Once your design has been finalized, the order will be placed. In the meantime, subcontractors will visit your home to do any work possible prior to cabinet installation, such as tear out, electrical, any drywall/painting and wood or tile flooring.

This means that your kitchen remodel will normally be underway 3-4 weeks prior to your cabinet installation.

Once the cabinets arrive on site, their installation generally takes a week or less depending on complexity. At the time of base cabinet installation your counter tops will be measured. You can expect counter tops to be installed 3-4 weeks from measure. (Arrangements can be made to hook up temporary plumbing in the interim). Once counter tops are installed, sub contractors will return to complete any remaining work. Most of our kitchen remodels end up taking 6-8 weeks total. Please understand that there may be days during your project when workers may not be present. This doesn’t indicate a delay in your project.
